Bible Words: Jesus went around doing good.
Acts 10:38
Bible Fun Use ordinary activities to help your child appreciate good health. In the morning when she gets out of bed, help her thank Jesus for good legs on which to stand and walk. While she's eating, help her thank Jesus for a tongue to taste the good food. As you point these things out, let her respond simply, "Thank You, Jesus." In this way your child will become more aware of good health as a gift from God. Also have your child ask Jesus to help sick friends just as He helped Peter's mother-in-law.
The Broken Vase
Lesson Focus: Jesus forgives us when we’re sorry.
There was a rule at Michael’s house that said, “No running inside.” But Michael said to Brenda, “You can’t catch me!”
Brenda chased Michael until – CRASH!! Down fell a vase.
Michael’s mother hurried in. Michael said, “We were running, and the vase broke. We’re sorry!”
Michael’s mother helped the children fold their hands and ask God to forgive them. Together they said, “Dear God, we know You want us to obey. We are sorry. We love you. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
Then Michael’s mother hugged them. She said, “Jesus forgives you. And so do I.”
Brenda got the dustpan. Michael got the broom. And they helped clean up.
Family Fun Scoldings are not fun, but you can pray fro Jesus’ love and patience. Set aside a special corner where you can help you child pray for forgiveness and get a forgiving hug.
