Help your child remember the excitement the shepherds felt when they heard about Jesus' birth. Each morning, identify people you'll see that day with whom you can share the good news. Your preschooler can tell each one about the exciting things that are happening at your house and repeat the Bible words printed above.
The Angel Song
Lesson Focus: We share good news.
Mother and Carlos were driving to church for the Christmas program.
“Away in a manger,” sang Carlos. He was practicing for the Christmas program.
“That sounds nice,” said Mother. “You have a special song for the people at church just like the angels had for the shepherds. Be sure to sing with a loud voice. Then everyone at the Christmas program can hear the good news about Jesus.”
At church Carlos put on his angel costume. He saw a lot of people. At first he was a little scared, but then he remembered that te people wanted to hear the song about baby Jesus.
When his choir started to sing, Carlos didn’t feel scared anymore. He sang out loud and clear, just like the angels did for the shepherds.
Family Fun Your family might want to dress up with robes and towels to illustrate each paragraph of the Bible story. Take photos and mount them in a notebook. Read the story together every day until Christmas.
