Bible Words: God sent his Son.
Galatians 4:4
Bible Fun As much fun as parents have shopping for Christmas
presents, your preschooler may find the greatest sense of comfort from old toys in the days following this busy season! When the festivities are over, your child may be more ready to listen to the story of Jesus' birth. You can remind him that the custom of gift giving began with the first gifts the Wise Men brought. Consider keeping the Nativity set out after the other decorations are put away. The spirit of Christmas is never over in the hearts of Christians!
Presents for Jesus
Lesson Focus: We can worship Jesus
Mrs. Lee told her Sunday school class about the Wise Men. She said they went to see Jesus and gave Him gifts.
Michael said, “I feel said. I don’t have a present to give Jesus.”
Mrs. Lee smiled. “We all have presents we can give to Jesus today and anytime by worshipping Him.”
“What presents?” asked the children.
Mrs. Lee said, “When we sing to Jesus, we’re giving Him a song present. When we talk to Him, we’re giving Him a prayer present. Jesus loves our songs and prayers.”
Michael asked, “Can we worship Jesus now?”
Mrs. Lee liked that idea. So that’s just what the class did!
Family Fun Worship with presents of song and prayer anytime with your child. Explain that every time we are kind to our family members and friends, that is a present for Jesus too.
