When Moses was older he saw a burning bush. But the bush did not burn up. Moses went toward the bush, and God's voice spoke from the bush. "Moses, do not come closer. Take off your shoes. You are on holy ground." Then God asked Moses to rescue His people from Egypt.
Why is Moses barefooted?
Preschool Sunday School Idea
Bible Words: God sent his Son.
Galatians 4:4
Bible Fun Even though it has only been a few years since your preschooler was a baby, your child won't remember what it
was like being a baby. This might take some time to look at baby pictures with your child and recall some of the thingS that
your infant did,
If you see a baby this week, talk about some of the things the baby does, Mention that little baby Jesus slept, cried, and liked to be held like all babies. Remind your child of family birthday celebrations and point out that Christmas is a time to celebrate Jesus is born!
The Christmas Cake
Lesson Focus: Jesus is born!
Brenda’s mother baked lots of birthday cakes all year, and at Christmas she baked special Christmas cakes for people.
Mother showed Brenda and Dad and Susan the cakes she had made. She said, “Now I am making a Christmas cake for our family. What words should I put on it?”
Susan said, “Our cake could be like the one for the family next door that says Merry Christmas.”
Mother said, “But Christmas is when we celebrate Jesus is born. Maybe our cake should say Happy Birthday.”
Dad said, “Our cake could say Happy Birthday, Jesus!”
Brenda nodded. “Happy Birthday, Jesus!” That was just right.
Family Fun Print the words “Happy Birthday, Jesus” on a paper for your child to decorate with crayons. Let your child help you hang the paper up as you sing “Happy Birthday” to Jesus several times.
