Arrested!

Luke 22, Mark 14

Men armed with swords and clubs marched to where Jesus and the disciples stood. The angry crowd was led by Judas Iscariot, who had already set up a signal—he would kiss the man they were to arrest. When Judas kissed Jesus, Jesus asked, "Judas, do you betray the Son of Man with a kiss?"

Immediately the guards seized Jesus! Then Simon Peter grabbed a sword and cut off the ear of the high priest's servant.

"That is enough," said Jesus. Then He touched the servant and healed his ear. Jesus turned to the priests and temple guards. "Am I leading a rebellion that you come with weapons and force? You did nothing all those times I spoke in the temple. But this is your time—when darkness rules!"

Then they took Jesus to the home of the high priest to be questioned. The frightened disciples all ran away.
