Mary quickly left to go visit Elizabeth. Elizabeth met her at the
door with a big smile. "Mary!" Elizabeth cried with joy. "When I
heard your voice, the baby inside me leaped! Now I must ask
you—why has the mother of my Lord come to see me?"
Mary was amazed that Elizabeth already knew what God was doing.
Mary stayed with Elizabeth for several months before she returned
to her home.
